The 12th annual Festival of classical Musical Theatre (opera) opens Jan 22 and runs through Feb 21 at many locations in Prague.
A record 412 candidates have filed applications for the 2015 Prague Spring flute and clarinet competitions. Applicants come from all over the world, with those from South Korea leading the pack with 82, according to Prague Spring officials. Initial selections begin in January, with the finals scheduled for May 13-14.
