Re:Source-Czech Natl Ballet Gala
The Czech National Ballet’s Dance Gala June 21 showcases top choreographies and European dancers.
The programme of the festive evening has been drawn up by Filip Barankiewicz, the future Artistic Director of the Czech National Ballet.
The choreographies he has selected and the guests he has invited (including Czech artists) serve to outline his bold artistic vision and the direction the company will take under his guidance.
Over almost three hours of the gala evening, an exclusive selection from among both classical and modern works are presented. Top-class dancers will be showcased, in extracts from works by globally renowned choreographers –
The artists include principal dancers of the Stuttgart and Berlin Ballets: Anna Osadchenko, Dinu Tamazlacaru, Alicia Amatriain, David Moore, Jason Reilly, and Daniel Camargo.
Czech National Ballet dancers Zuzana Šimáková, Mathias Deneux and Viktor Konvalinka will also take the stage, and Aya Watanabe, Kristýna Němečková, Viktor Konvalinka, and Štěpán Pechar will appear in choreographies by Petr Zuska, the current Artistic Director of the Czech National Ballet.
Choreographies will be offered as well by the young creators Viktor Konvalinka and Ondřej Vinklát.
Nanu and Camargo in Pas de Deux
The opportunity to perform next to world stars has been afforded to the Czech National Ballet soloist Alina Nanu, who together with Daniel Camargo, principal dancer of the Stuttgart Ballet, will dance the pas de deux from Diana and Actaeon.
