Farewell to Summer
Temperatures are beginning to drop, rainy days are returning, and just one or two leaves have decided to outshine all the rest, with a yellow tint or rosy red glow. Autumn is coming.
And with that, Opus Osm is observing the passing of one season into the arrival of another by packing up the car and taking a short vacation to visit some of the beautiful villages and the countryside in the Czech Republic.
Two things to look forward to: the possibility of a long, warm Indian summer (Babí léto); and the certainty of a fantastic new season of classical music, opera, and ballet. The performance calendar is so packed, you won’t have time to notice the return of sliding temperatures and our typical milk-white winter skies.
We’ll return soon. In the meantime, enjoy the last roses of summer and the opening notes of great Czech performances throughout the country. — oo
