Poll #6: Concert Clapping

Scroll down for the actual poll

Yes, we dare to ask the most embarrassing question in classical music: When do you applaud at a concert?

It’s amazing that such a minor event can feel like such a major faux pas — enough to keep some people away from concerts.

(It may surprise you to learn that many conductors and musicians don’t care when you applaud, they just want you to come and listen to the music.)

So be brave! In the privacy of your own home (or at an anonymous Wifi cafe), scroll down and fill out our poll about applause at a concert.

And rest assured, no matter which answers you choose, you will not be alone in your choice!

In the meantime, take a look at the answers from our previous poll, No. 2, “When was the last time you went to a ballet?”

Six weeks ago: 33%
Six months ago: 33%
Six years ago: 33%

Apparently the missing one percent is still looking for the theatre …
